REQUIREMENTS FOR VISA APPLICATION

1 duly completed Original Visa Application Form (IM.47- Pin. 1/97),Visa Application form can be downloaded from the following website:- www.imi.gov.my
2 recent coloured passport-size photos with white background (studio version);
Passport validity not less than 6 months from travel date and must contain at least 3 continuous empty pages;
Photocopy of Passport, previous Malaysian visa (if any);
Photocopy of Return Air ticket;
Financial proof i.e personal Bank Statement for the last 3 months accompanied by Bank Solvency Letter/Certificate or International credit card for those living outside of Bangladesh;
Application Letter from the applicant stating the purpose of visit;
Invitation/Reference letter from sponsor or counterpart in Malaysia, if relevant;
Other supporting documents :
- Trade license/visiting card/ID card (photocopy), marriage certificate (for first time applicant);
For non-Bangladeshi citizen, visa will only be issued to those residing in Bangladesh with valid employment/residence permit.

CONSULATE OF THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATION OF VISA FOR BANGLADESHI NATIONALS

The Consulate of the Republic of Singapore in Dhaka processes visa applications for Bangladeshi Nationals and other foreigners who require a social visa to enter Singapore.

Visitors holding ordinary Bangladeshi passports will need to apply for an entry visa prior to their arrival in Singapore. Holders of Bangladeshi Diplomatic and Official passports are exempted from visa requirements. For other nationals, please visit www.ica.gov.sg for details.

Each application for a visa will be considered on its own merits.

A Singapore visa is not an immigration pass. It is a pre-entry permission for the holder of a valid Singapore visa to travel to, and seek entry, into Singapore. The grant of an immigration pass will be determined by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers at the point of entry. Possession of a valid visa alone does not guarantee entry into Singapore.

A holder of a valid Singapore visa who is found suitable for entry into Singapore will be issued with an immigration pass to enter and remain in Singapore. You are advised to check your passport for the arrival visit pass endorsement when in Singapore and take note of the period of stay granted before leaving the checkpoint. The period of stay granted is shown on the visit pass endorsement given on your passport and it is not tied to the validity of your visa.

Application Fee

Bangladesh Taka equivalent SGD$30/- per Applicant excluding Agent’s Fee.

Processing Time

At least five(5) working days (excluding the day of passport submission at the Singapore Consulate). However, some applications may take a longer time to process.

Submission of Visa application

Applications must be submitted on-line through one of the Consulate's Authorised Visa Agents in Dhaka. The list of Authorised Visa Agents is appended below.

Documents Required for Visa Application

Valid passport with at least six months validity from the date of arrival in Singapore.
Ensure that your passport has at least one blank page for the visa to be pasted on.
1 set of application form, duly completed (Form 14A)
Letter of Introduction (LOI) to be issued by a local contact in Singapore:
- For Social Visitors, any Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, who is at least 21 years old, can act as a local contact.
- For Business Visitors, a Singapore registered company / organisation can act as a local contact. The LOI must be signed by a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, who is at least 21 years old, only.
A recent passport-sized photograph with the following specifications:
- The photograph must be taken within the past 3 months
- Photograph should be in colour, must be taken against a white background with a Matt or semi-Matt finish
- Image must show the full face and without headgear (headgear worn in accordance with religious or racial customs is acceptable but must not hide the facial features)
- The facial image must be between 25 mm and 35 mm from chin to crown.
Photocopy of the bio-data page of the applicant's passport.

Visa Categories and Basic Documents

Categories of Visa

Visa Categories	Description
C	Issued to foreign crew members of means of international transportation, including aircraft, trains and ships, or motor vehicle drivers engaged in cross-border transport activities, or to the accompanying family members of the crew members of the above-mentioned ships.
D	Issued to those who intend to reside in China permanently.
F	Issued to those who intend to go to China for exchanges, visits, study toursand other activities.
G	Issued to those who intend to transit through China.
J1	Issued to resident foreign journalists of foreign news organizations stationed in China. The intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days.
J2	Issued to foreign journalists who intend to go to China for short-term news coverage. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days.
L	Issued to those who intend to go to China as a tourist.
M	Issued to those who intend to go to China for commercial and trade activities.
Q1	Issued to those who are family members of Chinese citizens or of foreigners with Chinese permanent residence and intend to go to China for family reunion, or to those who intend to go to China for the purpose of foster care. The intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days. "Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.
Q2	Issued to those who intend to visit their relatives who are Chinese citizens residing in China or foreigners with permanent residence in China. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days.
R	Issued to those who are high-level talents or whose skills are urgently needed in China.
S1	Issued to those who intend to go to China to visit the foreigners working or studying in China to whom they are spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18 or parents-in-law, or to those who intend to go to China for other private affairs. The intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days.
S2	Issued to those who intend to visit their family members who are foreigners working or studying in China, or to those who intend to go to China for other private matters. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days. "family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.
X1	Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of more than 180 days.
X2	Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of no more than 180 days.
Z	Issued to those who intend to work in China.

1. Here are the basic documents for your visa application :

Passport: Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and blank visa pages, and a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.
Visa Application Form and Photo : One completed Visa Application Form with two recently-taken color passport photo (bare-head, full face) against a white background.
Proof of legal stay or residence status. If the applicant is not an Bangladeshi, please present the original copy and photocopy of resident permit in Bangladesh.
Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas (applicable to foreign citizens who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship) If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you should provide your previous Chinese passport held and a photocopy of its data page. If you have obtained Chinese visas before and want to apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the photocopy of the previous passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page. (If your name on the current passport differs from that on the previous one, you must provide an official document of name change.)

2. Here are the supporting documents you need to submit for visa application (categorized by visa type):

C-Visa : A letter of guarantee issued by a foreign transport company or an invitation letter issued by a relevant entity in China.
D-Visa : The original and photocopy of the Confirmation Form for Foreigners Permanent Residence Status issued by the Ministry of Public Security of China.
Please be advised that holders of D Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of their entry, apply to the exit/entry administrations of public security organs under local people's governments at or above the county level in the proposed places of residence for foreigners' residence permits.
F-Visa : "Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit"(被授权单位邀请函)or"Confirmation Letter of Invitation"from Duly Authorized Unit (被授权单位邀请确认函)
G-Visa : Applicants should follow the L visa requirements for G visa.
J1-Visa : Visa Notification Letter issued by the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and an official letter issued by the media organization for which the journalist works.
Pleased be advised that holders of J1 Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of their entry, apply to the exit/entry administrations of public security organs under local people's governments at or above the county level in the proposed places of residence for foreigners' residence permits.
J2-Visa : Visa Notification Letter issued by the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China or other authorized units in China and an official letter issued by the media organization for which the journalist works.
L-Visa : Applicants should submit one of the following sets of supporting documents:
1. Invitation letter issued by authorized travel agencies and applicant's bank statement. The bank statement should prove that the applicant has at least 100 USD each day during his/her stay in China.
2. Invitation letter issued by travel agencies registered in the Mainland of China, hotel reservation with complete payment, detailed travel schedule in China, round air ticket and bank statement. The bank statement should prove that the applicant has at least 100 USD each day during his/her stay in China.
M-Visa : "Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit"(被授权单位邀请函)or"Confirmation Letter of Invitation"from Duly Authorized Unit (被授权单位邀请确认函)
Q1-Visa : For family reunion, the following documents are required:
1. An invitation letter issued by a Chinese citizen or a foreign citizen with a Chinese permanent residence permit who lives in China. The invitation letter should include:
  1. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
  2. Information on the visit ( purpose of visit, intended arrival date, place(s) of intended residence, intended duration of residence, arrival and departure dates, relations between the applicant and the inviting entity or individual, financial source for expenditures)
  3. Information on the inviting individual (name, telephone number, address, official stamp, signature of legal representative or the inviting individual, ID number, etc.)
2. Photocopy of Chinese ID of the inviting individual or foreign passport and permanent residence permit.
3. Original and photocopy of certification showing the relationship of family members between applicant and inviting individual.
4. Applicant's air ticket to China. "Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law. For foster care, the following documents are required:
  1. Foster entrustment notarization issued by Chinese Embassies/Consulates General in foreign countries or Foster Care Power of Attorney notarized and authenticated in the country of residence or in China
  2. Original and photocopy of the consignor's passport(s), as well as the original and photocopy of certification (marriage certificate, birth certificate, certification of kinship issued by Public Security Bureau or notarized certification of kinship) notarized and authenticated certification showing the relationship between parents or guardians and children.
  3. A letter of consent on foster care issued by the trustee living in China who has agreed to provide foster care services and a photocopy of the ID of the trustee.
  4. A photocopy of the certificate indicating the permanent residence status abroad of the parent(s) when the child was born, provided that either or both parents of the child are Chinese citizens.
Please be advised that holders of Q1 Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of their entry, apply to the exit/entry administrations of public security organs under local people's governments at or above the county level in the proposed places of residence for foreigners' residence permits.
All Q1 visa applicants should present themselves to this Embassy for visa interviews.
Q2-Visa :
1. An invitation letter issued by a Chinese citizen or a foreign citizen with a Chinese permanent residence permit who lives in China. The invitation letter should contain:
  1. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, passport number, etc.)
  2. Information on the visit (purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, relations between the applicant and the inviting individual, financial source for expenditures)
  3. Information on the inviting individual (name, telephone number, address, ID number, signature etc.)
2. Photocopy of Chinese ID or foreign passport and permanent residence permit of the inviting individual
3. Original and photocopy of certification showing the relationship of family members between applicant and inviting individual.
4. Applicant's round air tickets.
All Q2 visa applicants should present themselves to this Embassy for visa interviews.
R-Visa :Applications of this visa type are subject to the approval of the competent authority of the Chinese Government.
S1-Visa :
1. An invitation letter from the inviting individual (a foreigner who resides in China for work or study purposes). The letter should include:
  1. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, passport number, etc.)
  2. Information on the visit (purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, place of intended residence, relations between the applicant and the inviting individual, financial source for expenditures, etc.)
  3. Information on the inviting individual (name, passport number, telephone number, address, signature, etc.)
2. A photocopy of the inviting individual's passport and residence permit
3. Original and photocopy of certification showing the relationship of immediate family members between applicants and inviting individual.
4. Applicant's air ticket to China. "immediate family members " here refers to spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18, parents-in-law. Please be advised that holders of S1 Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of their entry, apply to the exit/entry administrations of public security organs under local people's governments at or above the county level in the proposed places of residence for foreigners' residence permits.
  All S1 visa applicants should present themselves to this Embassy for visa interviews.
S2-Visa :For short-time visit of family members, the following documents are required:
1. An invitation letter issued by the inviting individual (a foreigner who resides in China for work or study purposes). The letter should include:
  1. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, passport number, etc.)
  2. Information on the visit (purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, relations between the applicant and the inviting individual, financial source for expenditures, etc.)
  3. Information on the inviting individual (name, passport number, contact telephone number, address, signature, etc.)
2. A photocopy of the inviting individual's (a foreigner who stays or lives in China for work or studies) passport and residence permit
3. Photocopy of certification showing the relationship of family members between the applicant and the inviting individual.
"Family members" here refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.
All S2 visa applicants should present themselves to this Embassy for visa interviews.
X1-Visa :
1. Original and photocopy of the Admission Letter issued by a school, university or other educational entities in China.
2. Original and photocopy of "Visa Application for Study in China" (Form JW201 or Form JW202).
3. Scholarship winners should present certification of their scholarship ownership. Self-support applicants are required to present bank statements. The bank statement should prove that the applicant has at least 2500USD each year for his/her study in China.
Please be advised that holders of X1 Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of their entry, apply to the exit/entry administrations of public security organs under local people's governments at or above the county level in the proposed places of residence for foreigners' residence permits.
All X1 visa applicants should present themselves to this Embassy for visa interviews.
X2-Visa :X2 visa applicants should follow the X1 visa requirements.
- All X2 visa applicants should present themselves to this Embassy for visa interviews.
Z-Visa :Applicants should present one of the following sets of documents:
1. Work Permit for Foreign Experts in China issued by the State Bureau of Foreign Experts.
2. Registration Certificate of Resident Representative Offices of enterprises of foreign countries (regions) issued by Chinese authorities of industrial and commercial administration.
3. Approval for commercial performances issued by the Chinese government authorities for cultural affairs.
4. Letter of Invitation to Foreigners for Offshore Petroleum Operations in China issued by China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
5. Employment License for Foreigners from the Ministry of Human Sesourse and Social Security of the PRC.
6. Work Permit Notice issued by the State Bureau of Foreign Experts (photocopy only).
Please be advised that holders of Z Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of their entry, apply to the exit/entry administrations of public security organs under local people's governments at or above the county level in the proposed places of residence for foreigners' residence permits.

Special Reminder

Usually, photocopy of invitation letter is acceptable. However, if necessary, the consular officer may require the applicant to submit the original copy of the invitation letter.
If necessary, the consular officer may require the applicant to provide other supporting documents or supplementary materials, or require an interview with the applicant.
The outcome of visa application is subject to the decision of visa officers.

VISA REQUIRMENTS

FOR BANGLADESHI NATIONALS - HOLDERS OF DIPLOMATIC AND OFFICIAL PASSPORTS

Bangladeshi nationals who are holders of valid diplomatic or special passports may enter the Philippines without entry visas and stay for a period of thirty (30) days.
Bangladeshi nationals who are holders of valid diplomatic or special passports on assigment in the Philippines may stay without visas for entry only for a period of thirty (30) days and required to obtain appropriate 9(e) visa and other necessary accreditation from the DFA within thirty (30) days.

VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Submission of Documents

Visa applications will be accepted at Gate No. 2 strictly from 9:00AM-11:30AM (0900H-1130H) only.
Visa applicants shall submit relevant documents through accredited agencies only.
Processing fee payment of BDT3,400 shall also be made through these accredited agencies.
The accredited agencies will receive the corresponding receipt for the payment and will get notice to wait for a call from the Embassy if an application is approved or not and if a schedule for interview is necessary.
No foreign nationals or walk-in applicants may enter the premises at any time.

Interview of Visa Applicants

If an interview is necessary, a visa applicant will receive a call from the Embassy within five (5) working days after submission of the application and will be informed of the date and time of the interview.
On the scheduled interview, the visa applicant shall proceed to Gate No. 1 and shall bring the following:
1. Valid ID to be presented to the guard
2. Documents needed for the interview
No applicant shall be allowed to bring a bag inside the premises.
The applicant shall be escorted by the guard to leave the premises after the interview.

Approved Visa Application.

If a visa application is approved, the accredited agency will receive a call from the Embassy on the sixth (6th) working day from the submission of documents and will be given a schedule for submission of passport.
The accredited agency’s representative shall proceed to Gate No. 2 for the submission of passport strictly from 9:00AM-12:00NN (0900H-1200H) only.
The accredited agency shall be given a stub with a schedule for the release of the visa.

Release of Visa

Release of the visa is at Gate No. 2 strictly from 2:00PM to 4:00PM (1400H-1600H) only.
The accredited agency shall present the stub and receipt to the Embassy staff in claiming the visa at the gate.
Under no circumstance shall the guard or consular staff open the gate.

FOR TOURISM

Accomplished Application for Philippine Visa form.
Proof of Financial capability e.g. Assets/Ownership, proof of tax payment.
Bank Statement of visa applicant or letter/proof of financial support by the sponsor.

MULTIPLE- ENTRY TOURIST VISA (METV)

To apply for the Multiple – Entry Tourist Visa, the applicant is required to present the following required documents:

An Application form completely filled out and signed by the applicant.
A valid passport with at least 6 months of validity
A valid Bangladeshi stay permit or work permits for other nationalities
One set of passport photocopy page 1-5, correction page, last Thai visa page & renewal page if applicable.
Two passport-sized photographs (3.5x4.5cm) taken within 6 months
Evidence of adequate finance e.g. Current Bank Solvency and Bank Statement with a minimum balance of 200,000 baht or 500,000 taka (for individual person), or a minimum balance of 400,000 baht or 1,000,000 taka (for family) all through the last 6 months per person or per family. Only original bank statement and bank solvency letter are acceptable.
A copy of air ticket or a booking confirmation or an itinerary
A copy of hotel reservation confirmation in Thailand ( for the first trip)
Proof of employment letter from the employer, indicating position in the company and monthly salary if employed or letter from an educational institute or student card/evidence of school enrollment if student.
Trade license (a copy of the original and a notarized and translated (English) copy) if the applicant is a proprietor (self-Employed)
Parents’ consent letter for applicant aged under than 18.

Tourist Visa “TR”

This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for tourism purposes. Requirements :

An application form completely filled out and signed by the applicant
A valid passport for travelling to Thailand with sufficient remaining validity (Not less than six month)
One set of passport photocopy page 1-5, correction page, last Thai visa page & renewal page if any
Two passport-sized photographs (3.5x4.5cm) taken within 6 months
Evidence of adequate finance e.g. Current Bank Solvency and Bank Statement of the last 6 months with satisfactory transaction (at least 20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family or 60,000 Taka per person and 120,000 Taka per family). Only original Bank Statement and Bank Solvency Letter are acceptable. In case of the applicant is sponsored by his/her company and the company Bank Statement and Bank Solvency Letter are submitted, trade license has to be attached. Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right to request for the applicant’s personal Bank Statement.
A certified copy of an identification of applicant’s sponsor if the applicant submits a sponsor’s Bank Statement and the sponsor is not submitting application together with the applicant
A copy of air ticket or a booking confirmation or an itinerary
Visa request letter from the applicant and from office if employed or travel letter from the educational institute or student card/evidence of school enrollment if student
In case of medical treatment, a copy of appointment letter from a hospital in Thailand and, if applicable, an original letter from a local doctor
Parents’ consent letter for applicant aged under 18
Trade license (original notarized English translated and photocopy of the original) if the applicant is a first time traveler or a proprietor

Important Note

Short Descriptions in English shall be provided for all Thai documents, e.g. Business License of Company A.
For documents in other foreign languages (including Bangla) must be translated into English and shall be certified by a credible translator and a notary public.
